BODS is the ambitious hub for every aspect of amateur theatre in the Wychwoods and a convivial base for all ages. Under the mentorship of Mandyrae Jessey, participants have opportunities to engage in workshops, improvised sessions, and rehearsals. These culminate in two or three productions a year, including festivals and competitions. Our shows encompass a wide spectrum, ranging from comedy and drama to full-scale pantomimes, musicals, and large cast plays.
BODS takes performances beyond our centre and into the community, actively participating in various theatrical events, including filming. In addition to our regular productions, BODS also offers a Monday evening teaching class.
We firmly believe that taking part in theatre productions is character-building, promotes confidence, and results in a satisfying sense of accomplishment. It also contributes to valuable life skills. Join us in this exciting journey.
Goldilocks & The Three Bears...At The Circus

Branching Out Drama Society welcome you to their 2026 pantomime Goldilocks and the Three Bears at the Circus by Nick Lawrence, and directed and adapted with permission by Mandyrae Jessey.
We are so excited to bring you four performances filled with colour, sparkle, and eccentric characters that make up our panto in the cold gloom of January! The show is filled with fun, laughter, jokes, and puns, with the cast creating amazing circus acts with added dancing and some original songs. Flamboyant costumes and a brilliant cast and crew are all ready to entertain you!
Funky Fairy Featherwings will be watching out for the Dame and Baron (CHEERS) and the evil Madam Meanie (BOO). What could be behind them? Will Goldilocks, Ringo, and the clowns help to save the circus? Can the three Bears ever get their act together? Can the audience help??
After arriving at the box office and rushing to the bar, be prepared to have some fun before finding your seats, all for making the show even more special!
